ABOUT ecoBumba
ecoBumba stands for enjoying and caring for the environment.
The first product to hit ecoBumba is the one-size pocket nappy.
The product was created in response to feedback from local Bunbury mums about the expense of overseas one-size nappy brands during the GFC 2009 and was tested on many different size babies (even little newborns).
More nappy products are currently in the works to help make using cloth nappies easier and fun! See Bubba J nappies for more information about these products, coming in 2012.
About me
Rebecca juggles her business with a family of 3 young children and part-time work in the regional city of Bunbury, Western Australia.
From Rebecca herself:I have been using modern cloth nappies for just over 5 years in 2011. I’ve used many different brands and different types of modern cloth nappies, traditional nappies and disposables (newborn only). I learnt to sew in 2006, then sewing took a back seat as I embraced handknitting woollen soakers and pants as water-resistant covers to go over nappies. Before the birth of my second child, I made a full set of newborn nappies using the Very Baby pattern. The day before I gave birth I was still banging out bamboo fleece pocket inserts on my overlocker!Bubba J modern cloth nappies were one of my favourite nappies in 2007, but they were hard to come by. When the label was put up for sale in 2009 I took over and have never looked back since.
Bubba J will gradually be assimilated into the ecoBumba label as I tweak and update the nappies to reflect current tastes and trends, while still maintaining its well-loved fit, effectiveness and reliability.
